BOB Player Setup 2026: Install, Add an M3U Link and Activate
A BOB Player guide for Samsung, LG, Android and computers: the MAC address and Device Key, adding an M3U link on bobplayer.com, the free trial and activation, and how it compares with IBO Player.

The short answer
Install BOB Player from your device's app store and open it to see your device details: the MAC address and the Device Key. Log in with them on bobplayer.com from the device login page, add the M3U link from your IPTV provider, then reload the app. The app starts with a free trial; after that you pay an activation fee for the app itself.
What is BOB Player?
BOB Player is a player for M3U and M3U8 playlists and contains no channels or content. You add the playlist link from your IPTV provider and it shows the channels, movies and series. It works much like IBO Player: the same MAC address and Device Key idea and the same way of adding playlists on the website, so if you know one, the other is easy.
Which devices does it work on?
| Device | Where to install it |
|---|---|
| Samsung TVs (Tizen) | Samsung Apps store on the TV |
| LG TVs (webOS) | LG Content Store |
| Android TV and phones | Google Play |
| Computers | The download page on the official website (Windows and macOS) |
Step-by-step setup
- Install BOB Player from your device's store and open it.
- Note the MAC address and Device Key shown on the app screen, or take a photo with your phone.
- On your phone or computer, open bobplayer.com and choose Device Login.
- Enter the MAC address and Device Key exactly as shown in the app, then log in.
- Add a new playlist: give it a name, paste the M3U link from your provider, and save.
- Go back to the TV and restart the app so the channels appear.
Free trial and activation
- The app starts with a free trial (about 7 days) so you can check it works well on your device.
- After the trial you need a licence for the app, usually for one year or for life, tied to the MAC address of one device. Two devices need two licences.
- The licence is for the app only and includes no channels or subscription.
- Activation prices vary a lot between the sites that sell it, so buy from the official website or a seller you trust.
BOB Player or IBO Player?
| BOB Player | IBO Player | |
|---|---|---|
| Content | None; you add your playlist | None; you add your playlist |
| Adding playlists | MAC and Device Key on bobplayer.com | MAC and Device Key on iboplayer.com |
| Smart TVs | Samsung and LG | Samsung and LG |
| Activation | Trial, then a 1-year or lifetime licence | 7-day trial, then a 1-year or lifetime licence |
Fixes for common problems
- No channels after adding the playlist: make sure the link is copied in full and hasn't expired, that you saved the playlist, then restart the app.
- The MAC address changed: every TV has one address for Wi-Fi and another for Ethernet, so switching connection shows a different one. Go back to the same connection type or add the playlist to the new address.
- The website rejects your details: enter the Device Key exactly as shown, and watch upper and lower case in the MAC address.
- Buffering or freezing: the cause is usually your internet or the provider's server. Follow these IPTV buffering fixes.
Using your NeonIPTV subscription on BOB Player

The website and activation options can change; these steps are accurate as of October 2026.
