IBO Player Setup 2026: Install, Add an M3U Link and Activate, Step by Step

The short answer
Install IBO Player from your device's app store and open it to see your device details: the MAC address (Device ID) and the Device Key. Log in with them on iboplayer.com, click Add Playlist, paste the M3U link from your IPTV provider, then reload the app. The app is free for 7 days; after that you pay an activation fee for the app itself, for one year or for life.
What is IBO Player?
IBO Player is only a media player: it contains no channels or movies. You add the playlist (an M3U link) you get from your IPTV provider, and it shows it in a tidy interface with a programme guide. So don't pay for the app before you have a subscription.

Step-by-step setup
- Install IBO Player from your device's store and open it.
- Your device details appear on screen: the Device ID, which is the MAC address, and the Device Key, a 6-digit number. Keep the screen open or take a photo with your phone.
- On your phone or computer, open iboplayer.com and choose Device Login.
- Enter the MAC address and Device Key exactly as shown in the app, then click Login.
- Click Add Playlist, give it a name and paste the M3U link from your provider. If your provider sent a programme guide (EPG) link, add it in its field.
- Optionally protect the playlist with a PIN so nobody else can edit or delete it.
- Save, go back to the TV and reload the app so the channels appear.
Free trial and activation
- A 7-day free trial starts automatically when you install the app.
- After the trial you need a licence for the app, either for one year or for life. You pay on the official website by entering your MAC address, and the app is activated on that device only.
- The licence is a fee for the app itself and includes no channels or subscription.
- Pay on the official website or through a seller you trust: many sites use similar names and sell activations at different prices.
Fixes for common problems
- The MAC address changed after switching connection: every TV has two addresses, one for Wi-Fi and one for Ethernet. Switching between them shows a new address. Go back to the same connection type, or add the playlist to the new address.
- The MAC address changed after a factory reset or app update: the website offers a recovery code that moves your activation and playlists to the new address; the old address is deactivated.
- You bought a new TV: you can move your activation and playlists to another MAC address once only, with the Switch MAC option.
- You forgot the Device Key: it is always shown on the app screen on your device.
- You forgot the parental PIN: change it from your account on the website; it must be 4 to 6 digits.
- “Playlist not working” message: the link has expired, has a typo or is restricted by the provider. Copy the link again and contact your provider.
- Buffering or freezing: the cause is usually your internet or the provider's server, not the app. Follow these IPTV buffering fixes.
