When does Ramadan 2027 start?
Based on astronomical calculations, Ramadan 1448 AH is expected to begin on Monday 8 February 2027, with the crescent sighting on the evening of Sunday 7 February. Eid al-Fitr is expected on 9 or 10 March 2027, depending on the length of the month. Each country's authorities announce the final date, which can differ by a day between countries.
Egyptian Ramadan 2027 series
These are the main Egyptian titles announced as of October 2026. Most have no confirmed channel yet; broadcast schedules are usually announced a few weeks before Ramadan.

Where do Ramadan series usually air?
- MBC and Shahid: every year MBC1, MBC Masr and MBC Drama carry a large share of Egyptian, Syrian and Gulf series, and most are also on Shahid, sometimes ahead of the TV broadcast.
- Egyptian channels: Egyptian series are usually spread across channels such as ON, CBC, DMC and Al Hayah.
- Lebanese channels: LBCI, MTV and Al Jadeed show Lebanese and pan-Arab drama. How to watch them is in our Lebanese channels guide.
- Gulf platforms: some titles stream exclusively on platforms such as Shasha.
Final broadcast schedules are usually announced in January. We will update this page with channels and times as they are announced.
Time differences for Ramadan 2027
In February and March 2027, before Europe moves to summer time on the last Sunday of March:
